“The Art Monastery
…gave me unending inspiration
about the magic that’s available
in the universe…”
American dancer Julia Pond has been deeply involved with the Art Monastery Project since its beginnings. She is a founding member who joined the project in 2008 and lived at the first location in Calvi dell’Umbria for two years. During that time Julia served as Director of Programming and was an essential performer. She continues to be an important collaborator, consultant, workshop coordinator, and visiting artist.
“The [Art Monastery] played a giant role in bringing me back to making art and developing my own practice as a dancer and choreographer.
It gave me unending inspiration about the magic that’s available in the universe to each one of us if you’re willing to just reach out and take it.”
