Guest-blogger Ann Allen on La Clausura Sconfinata
Ann writes:
10 days, 12 women, 1 small Italian town – I don’t know if Narni knew what it was letting itself in for when it agreed to include a performance of the Clausura into its medieval festival. An intense week was had by all rehearsing, eating, sleeping together much like the nuns life we were attempting to simulate and with the added medieval backdrop of an achingly beautiful Umbrian hilltop town it was an experience I will never forget. Big congratulations to all involved in the organising especially Julia Pond who was a one woman wonder directing, dancing, organising, promoting always with a smile and a hug. Brava!
