Eye of Coral Moon

Koho’olawe a hazed shade

sunset cloud low mountain

rare to see though closest of all

whales gone spring seas quiet

shearwater quiver darkened swells

silvering-blue the whole surface change

hungry sweet mesquite beans

wild goat, zebra dove, the native grass

courtship display, subsistence beauty
