to the space of love:

to be vulnerable, naked & real.

which is a way of relating to change

& committing to not take your unique life for granted.

I vow to return

to the space of illumination:

which is a path of sensual discovery & delight,

heartache & confusion, sickness & death.

I vow to return

to the space of trust:

which is the way life wields power

by flowing, giving over & celebrating the commonplace.

I vow to return

to the space of gratitude:

which is the dawn light inbreath

& the cooperative radiance of all manifestation.

I vow to return

to you, to your space:

which is bright & shining,

which seeks the uplifting of everyone you meet

which tenderizes my jagged spirits

& helps to settle my heart on its rugged journey.

I vow to look

again & again

at you, with you, beside you

to look at whoever you are, whoever you become

to look toward the spaces around us, all the beings

the plants & animals, elements & humans,

the sounds & dreams & other realms

& practice really seeing.

I vow to practice seeing you.

for the shadows & light

for the music & mystery

for the tears & laughter.
